Gregory C. Kane
The School of Engineering and Technology’s 2004 Outstanding Alumnus
Gregory C. Kane received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology & Engineering Education from Central Connecticut State University in 1976. Two years later, he was awarded the Master of Science degree in Career, Vocational and Adult Education from the University of Connecticut.
He has been employed with the Connecticut Department of Education as State Supervisor for Technology & Engineering Education and Vocational Agriculture, Bureau of Curriculum and Instruction, since 1996. From 1986 to 1996, Greg served as a consultant for Trade and Industrial Education to the Bureau of Applied Education, Technology and Career Information. Greg also has ten years of Technology & Engineering Education teaching experience in the Manchester, CT public school system.
Greg has served as the State Supervisor for Technology & Engineering Education (SSTE), and is a past State Supervisor of the Year of the International Technology & Engineering Education Association Council of Supervisors. He has served on the Advisory Board of the Talcott Mountain Science Center, been a presenter at several ITEA Council of Supervisors Forums, and initiator of the Connecticut Technology & Engineering Education Gender Equity Study. He currently acts as chairperson for both the Connecticut Technology & Engineering Education’s Leadership Council and Curriculum Frameworks Committee, as well as the State Coordinator for CT FIRST LEGO League Tournaments.
Greg and his family reside in Manchester, CT.
