Computer Use Policy
In order to ensure a consistent, well-maintained, computing environment for all School of Engineering and Technology Computer Lab Users, the following rules, in addition to the CSU Computer Use Policy, hold true at all times for all School of Engineering and Technology Labs:
- Instructors and authorized Lab Monitors are the authority in Classes and Open Labs.
- Saving data to the local hard disk is not allowed. Please use the student M: drive or removable media. All data saved local may be deleted at any time without warning.
- Eating or drinking is prohibited.
- Material that may be offensive to others, such as pornography, racist material, etc., shall not be displayed at any time.
- Software shall not be installed, removed, copied, or modified.
- Hardware shall not be installed, removed, moved, or modified.
- Only personnel authorized by the Computer Facilities Manager shall attempt repairs or modifications to computer equipment.
- Direct any problems to the Instructor, Lab Monitor, or Computer Facilities Manager (Room 160) immediately.
