Networking Technology

Program Description:

The Networking Technology (BS) program prepares individuals to enter into the evolving world of Information Technology dealing with computer hardware and software, as well as the peripheral devices closely associated with computer-based systems. The curriculum focuses on local and wide network design, administration and Internet technologies. Analytically based mathematics, computer science, electronics, and business courses round out the program.

Career Outcomes:

Computer networking and information technology related positions occupy the top professional ranking throughout the country. The number of jobs within this field is tremendous now and will be growing in the future, according to all work-force demand predictions. Graduates of the Networking Technology program are being prepared for various level positions in network administration, LAN/WAN design and maintenance, help desk and customer service positions.


Type of Degree:
Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with a Specialization in Networking Technology (122 credits required).
Of those 122 credits 15 credit hours are selected with the advisor to focus the student in a specialized field of networking.
